"Aayega toh Modi hi, Rahega toh Modi hi": Nadda dismisses Kejriwal's remarks on PM Modi's "retirement"

New Delhi [India], May 11 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will return to office dismissing Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's remarks on the PM Modi's "retirement".
In a post on X, Nadda slammed CM Kejriwal and the Opposition coalition, the INDIA bloc and said that they have "neither any policy nor any plans."
"Kejriwal and the entire INDI alliance have panicked after realizing their failure in the elections. They aim to mislead and confuse the country. Modi Ji is getting the immense blessings of the people from East to West, North to South. They have neither any policy nor any program in front of the Prime Minister. Now they are looking for a way out by making an excuse of Modi Ji's age," Nadda said in the post.
Nadda dismissed Kejriwal's remarks on PM Modi's age of retirement and said that there is no such provision in the party.
"There is no such provision regarding age anywhere in the constitution of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The public knows that every bit and every moment of Modiji is dedicated to the service of India. The vision of 'Developed India' is becoming a reality under the leadership of Modiji and in his next 5 years of tenure, Modiji will take the country to new heights," he said.
Nadda assured PM Modi's return to office and said that he will continue to lead in the future.
"The opposition, don't be happy, don't tender any illusions. Modiji is our leader and will continue to lead us in future too. INDI alliance and the leader who came out of jail on bail also knows that "Aayega toh Modi hi, Rahega toh Modi hi, Bharat ko Majbhoot banayega toh Modi hi" (Modi will come, Modi will stay and Modi will make India strong)," Nadda said.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also rubbished CM Kejriwal's remarks and said that there will be no change in leadership, adding that there is no confusion in the Bharatiya Janata Party regarding the same.
The BJP leaders' responses came after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal questioned the fulfilment of "Modi's guarantee" as he pointed out the possibility of PM Modi's retirement as he is turning 75 years old in September this year.
"I want to say this to Arvind Kejriwal and company and INDI alliance that nothing as such is mentioned in BJP's constitution. PM Modi is only going to complete this tenure and PM Modi will continue to lead the country in future. There is no confusion in BJP," Shah said while addressing a press conference in Telangana's Hyderabad on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, Kejriwal, while addressing his first press conference after getting interim bail from the Supreme Court in Delhi excise policy case, said, "These people ask the INDIA alliance who will be their Prime Minister. I ask the BJP: who will be your Prime Minister? PM Modi is turning 75, on September 17. He made a rule that leaders in the party would retire after 75 years."
Refering to BJP veterans who retired from office at the age of 75, Kejriwal said, "LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Sumitra Mahajan, and Yashwant Sinha were retired and now PM Modi is going to retire on 17th September. If their government is formed, they will first dispose of Yogi Adityanath and then make Amit Shah the Prime Minister of the country. PM Modi is asking for votes for Amit Shah. Will Amit Shah fulfil Modi's guarantee?" (ANI)
