New Delhi [India], June 19 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday held a protest over the water crisis in the national capital. Leaders like Delhi BJP chief Virendraa Sachdeva, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj and BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal took part in the protest carried out at the Indira camp in Kalyan Vihar.

"These women have to stay awake all night to get water and they also have to work during the day time. The situation is such that their children do not bathe for so many days and they don't even have water to cook. The Delhi government's administration is corrupt. The Haryana government yesterday also provided surplus water, I have seen documents of water release. The leaders of AAP are indulged in the black marketing of water," said Sachdeva.

Swaraj highlighted that the people in the national capital are using dirty water due to the absence of consumable water. She further accused AAP of fooling people by making fake promises.
"We are here at Indira camp today. The situation is terrible. People have to use dirty water. We have ordered as many water tankers as we could provide. AAP leaders have made fake promises and fooled people. They have not done anything for people in the last ten years," said Bansuri Swaraj.
Khandelwal emphasised that the issue of water crisis is deepening every day and this year the situation got further aggravated due to extreme heat conditions.

"The issue of water crisis is deepening every day. Because of the extreme heat this summer, the situation has been further aggravated. But the water crisis happens every year. The question is why did the Kejriwal government not try to bring out any permanent solution to the problem. Kejriwal can only make allegations but nothing other than that. He does not care if the people of Delhi are dying out of thirst. They are the only ones who are conspiring. They just want to defame the centre, the Haryana government and the BJP," said the BJP MP.
It is noteworthy that the water crisis has also incited a political storm in the national capital, with both BJP and AAP at loggerheads.
The Aam Aadmi Party has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of "orchestrating" the shortage in the national capital by trying to block the flow of water into the national capital.
The BJP has been blaming the AAP government for the water crisis saying that it did not take effective action against the tanker mafia who pilfer water. It even held protests in different parts of Delhi against the water crisis.
Congress, which had fought the recent Lok Sabha elections in alliance with the AAP in the national capital, has also held protests in the national capital. (ANI)
