People from across Manipur, under the banner of the Just and Fair Delimitation (JFD), staged a protest against the ongoing census process in the state. The demonstration took place at Ima Market in Imphal, where protesters voiced their opposition to the exercise.

Over 200 members joined the National People's Party (NPP), an NDA alliance partner, during a joining ceremony held in Imphal on Monday, where party leaders also strongly condemned the recent attack on youths from Manipur in Delhi.

Delhi Police on Monday apprehended all four accused, all juveniles, in connection with the alleged physical assault on a woman from Manipur near the Saket District Court complex.

In a post on X, Delhi Police said, "Sir, this is to inform that A criminal case has been registered under appropriate sections of law. Delhi Police teams are in constant touch with the victim and are providing all necessary assistance. Multiple teams have already been deployed to identify and apprehend the accused at the earliest.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, in a post on X, wrote, "Angered by the repeated attacks on North East people in Mainland India. The physical attack on two of our people from Manipur and Assam near Saket Court, Delhi, is sickening. Racial bullying should not be accepted as the new normal, and we must act against it."

A girl from Northeast India, Manipur, was allegedly attacked on Sunday evening near the Saket District Court Complex, New Delhi. A girl, along with her friends taking a walk in a park when a group of men made inappropriate remarks towards them.

TMC National General Secretary and MP Abhishek Banerjee on Sunday recalled several past instances, stating that President Droupadi Murmu remained silent during the three-year-long unrest in Manipur. He also stated that the President was not invited to the Ram Mandir inauguration because of her cast. During the conflict with Pakistan, Banerjee stated that the orders which are supposed to be given by the President are given by US President Donald Trump.
