"4 crore houses constructed under PM Awas Yojana": JP Nadda at roadshow in Kerala's Wayanad

"In the last 5 years, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 4 crore houses have been constructed under Awas Yojana. 2 lakh houses have been made in Kerala. Similarly, under the Ayushman Bharat scheme 50 crore people who were in the marginalized section have received Rs 5 lakh per year as health cover," the BJP leader said.

Wayanad (Kerala) [India], April 19 (ANI): BJP National President JP Nadda held a roadshow in Wayanad on Friday and highlighted the various development works done by the Modi government across the country.
The roadshow saw a sea of people and party workers walking along with JNadda's open-roofed vehicle. Nadda was seen greeting people standing on both sides of the road.
"In the last 5 years, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 4 crore houses have been constructed under Awas Yojana. Two lakh houses have been built in Kerala. Similarly, under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, 50 crore people who were in the marginalised section have received Rs 5 lakh per year as health cover," the BJP leader said.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is pitted against CPI's Annie Raja and BJP's state president, K Surendran in Wayanad.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Rahul Gandhi won from Wayanad with a huge margin of over 4.31 lakh votes; the highest margin in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls in Kerala. He secured 64.94 per cent vote share, defeating LDF candidate PP Suneer. The NDA had fielded BDJ (S) leader Tushar Vellapally, who secured just around 78,000 votes, which accounted for a mere 7.25 per cent.
All 20 constituencies in Kerala go to the polls on April 26 in the second phase of the Lok Sabha election.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls in Kerala, the Congress party won 15 seats, its allies, the Indian Union Muslim League, won two seats and one seat each was won by the Revolutionary Socialist Party and the Kerala Congress (M). While the Communist Party of India (Marxist) won just one seat. (ANI)
