'Scared' PM Modi indulging in drama: BSP
New Delhi, Aug. 7 (ANI): The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Sunday lambasted Prime Minster Narendra Modi and said that his remark on the cow vigilantes is a clear indication of the fact that he is nervous and scared. "The BJP has now become anxious and it is because of their anxiety that they removed Anandiben Patel from the chief minister's post in Gujarat. The BJP at present is losing its ground. Prime Minister Modi is scared and anxious and that is why he is coming out with such programs to share his perspectives and views," said BSP leader Sudhindra Bhadoria. Taking a jibe at the Prime Minister, Bhadoria said it took a month after the Una incident for the former to realize that Dalits are being assaulted in the name of cow protection. The BSP leader further said Prime Minister should stop indulging in drama as the nation is aware of his intentions. "Even in the Bihar assembly elections, his party leaders like Girish Yadav, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and others made irresponsible statements. Now, the BJP and the RSS are being cornered by the Opposition," he added. Breaking his silence on cow vigilantes in the country, Prime Minister Modi yesterday strongly condemned their actions, saying most of them were anti-social elements masquerading as gau rakshaks (cow protectors). "It makes me angry that people are running shops in the name of cow protection. Some people indulge in anti-social activities at night and in the day masquerade as cow protectors," he said while speaking at his first townhall-style address to mark the second anniversary of his government's MyGov initiative. The Prime Minister's comments come at a time when questions are being raised on his silence amid the spate of attacks, particularly in Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh, on Dalits, allegedly in the name of cow protection.
