Sitapur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Sept. 26 (ANI): After a shoe was hurled at Rahul Gandhi during his roadshow in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday, the Congress vice president said that the BJP and the RSS people think that if they hurl shoes at him, he would stop fighting for the farmers, but "mujhe aapke joote aur gusse se dar nahi lagta". "BJP-RSS ke log sochte hain hum joote fekenge aur Rahul Gandhi kisaan ki ladai ladna band kar dega, main peeche nahi hatne wala; mujhe aapke joote aur gusse se dar nahi lagta," said Rahul during his roadshow here. The incident took place when Rahul was riding in an open top vehicle. He was seen looking at the shoe thrown in his direction and then looking away after it missed him. Meanwhile, police have arrested the accused. Rahul is campaigning for his party for the upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh since September 13. He has been organising 'Khat Sabha' in various parts of the state to interact with farmers and discuss their problems. (ANI)
