'Kasab' remark shows communal mindset of BJP: Congress

New Delhi [India] Feb. 22 (ANI): Hours after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah devised the 'Kasab' remark for representing Congress, Samajwadi Party, and Bahujan Samaj Party, Congress on Wednesday said the former's statement shows the saffron party's communal mindset. "We need to end acronyms. Through Amit Shah's statement BJP's repulsive thinking is brought out. It shows party's communal mindset which is reprehensible," Congress MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi told ANI. Criticising Shah's statement, Singhvi further said it was violation of the model code of conduct, while adding that the BJP does not deserve to rule the nation. "It was a clear violation of the model code of conduct. It was a violation of rule and law. But more importantly, it discloses the mindset of a party, which does not deserve to rule this country," he added. The BJP president, earlier in the day, gave yet another acronym to describing his opponents in the ongoing Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls. "In the last fifteen years, the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) governments have ruined Uttar Pradesh. The two were enough for destruction, however, a third one has also arrived. The population of UP must get rid of this KASAB, and by this I mean - 'Ka' for Congress, 'S' for SP and 'B' for...," Shah said while addressing a rally in Chauri Chaura . While he didn't clearly mention the BSP, there was no denial from his side when the audience shouted 'BSP'. (ANI)
