'Dictator' PM Modi lied to the nation on OROP implementation: Arvind Kejriwal
New Delhi [India], Nov. 2 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of lying to the Nation about the implementation of One Rank, One Pension (OROP), after ex-servicemen Ram Kishan Grewal committed suicide. Arvind Kejriwal said that instead of sympathizing with the family of ex-servicemen, the police have arrested them. "Spoke to his son just now. He said he was manhandled by police. They hv been detained in CP police stn. Am gng there now to meet family", Kejriwal tweeted. Speaking to the media from outside the hospital, he asserted that as a Chief Minister it was his responsibility to look into the matter. "I came to meet the family of Ram Kishan, but was not allowed to enter. Why can't I meet the family? People are arrested, Manish Sisodia was arrested. All our MLAs were arrested. We just want to meet the family then what is the problem ?," Kejriwal said. Further stating that the Narendra Modi government has become 'dictatorial', he called on the Centre to deliver its promises. Earlier today, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi was stopped close to the gates of the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and then taken to the Mandir Marg Police station. Besides Rahul, Congress leader Jyotirao Scindia has also been carted away by the Police while several Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders are protesting outside the Parliament Street Police Station here, where Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is being held. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has sought details of the incident from the department of ex-servicemen welfare. "Saddened by the death of subedar Ram Kishen Grewal. I express my heartfelt condolences. I have asked officials to provide me with details," Parrikar tweeted. (ANI)
