'Dictator' AAP indulging in corrupt practices: BJP
New Delhi [India], Sept. 6 (ANI): New Delhi [India], Sept. 6 (ANI): Seeking an explanation from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal post veteran social activist Anna Hazare's outburst, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday alleged that that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is a party of dictators, which is now indulging in corrupt practices. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said the people, who have been members of this party are now levelling allegations at the AAP. "This is the party of dictators, this is the party which is all about ambition of the single man called Arvind Kejriwal, naturally a lot of answering has to be done by Arvind Kejriwal," Patra said. "Anna Hazare has asked Arvind Kejriwal, is this gram swaraj, is this what you dreamt of? Today, the country can see that this is not gram swaraj that Arvind Kejriwal used to speak about, this is bhrashat (corrupt) raj. The governance by the corrupts in a corrupt way," he added. Patra further said the fountainhead of the revolution of the AAP, Anna Hazare, is now questioning Kejriwal. "Dharamveer Gandhi was the Member of Parliament of Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab and he is now questioning the Aam Aadmi Party. Suchha Singh ji, who used to be the president of Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab, in fact is putting the Aam Aadmi Party in dock today. Devinder Sehrawat, who is the MLA of Aam Aadmi Party, in fact has certain serious allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party," he added. Hazare earlier stated that he had expressed his apprehensions at the time of formation of the AAP with regard to the selection of candidates for the party whose main agenda was to fight anti-social elements. "When Arvind floated a party, I parted ways with him and I told him that my ways are different. I told him that if he wants to form a party he may but how will he confirm that people who are joining the political outfit are not tainted," he asked. The social activist also pointed out that Kejriwal did not do a proper scrutiny before inducting people in his party. "Today the scene I am witnessing shows that no check was put on people before admitting them in to the party. I had lots of expectations from Arvind but unfortunately his ministers have been expelled," he added. Hazare's reaction comes in wake of the recent controversies surrounding AAP leaders. Kejriwal had last week sacked Sandeep Kumar from his Cabinet after the sex CD row. Earlier, AAP's former Punjab convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur was sacked post his allegations against the party of seeking a bribe for election tickets. In further embarrassment for the AAP, Bijwasan MLA Colonel Devinder Sehrawat claimed he has received "disturbing reports" of women being "exploited" in Punjab with promises of election tickets from the party, following which he was sent a notice.
