'Adityanath is one year older but much behind in work', taunts Akhilesh
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Mar. 25 (ANI): Hitting back at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday jocularly said the former is one year older than him but much behind in terms of work. Akhilesh said this while addressing the media after the Samajwadi Party's national executive meet in Lucknow. Taking a dig at the leaders of Congress and Samajwadi Party who had formed a coalition to take on the BJP in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, Adityanath had earlier said, "I came in between" Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav." "I am younger by one year to Rahul ji and one year older to Akhilesh Yadav. And I came between the two (Rahul and Akhilesh). This could be a major reason for their failure," he added. The BJP trounced the Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance by grabbing 312 seats in the 403-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly. (ANI)
