New Delhi (India), Mar 11 (ANI) In the retaliatory fire against Pakistan’s attack on civilian areas and Indian Army’s forward posts, at least five to six Pakistan Army personnel have been killed opposite the Rajouri sector in the last 10 days.
“When the Pakistanis started attacking our civilian areas, artillery guns were deployed on the Line of Control and fired in direct fire mode on some of the Pakistani positions in the Rajouri sector,” Army sources said here.
“After the firing incidents, we have gathered information from our sources and interception of their communication that they have lost at least five to six Army soldiers in our action,” they said.
India had deployed the Bofors 155 mm 52 caliber guns in the direct fire mode which causes major damage to bunkers of the adversaries.
Pakistan has increased the ceasefire violations along the Line of Control after the air strike by Indian Air Force on February 26 on Jaish-e-Mohammed training camp.
Indian Army had used the Bofors guns in direct fire mode in the  Kargil war also against Pakistani positions created on the hilltops and destroyed them to clear the way for ground troops to capture them. (ANI)
