J-K Governor Malik announces Rs 20 lakh ex-gratia for kin of Naseer Ahmad

Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Feb 17 (ANI): J-K Governor Satya Pal Malik has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 20 lakh to the next of the kin of CRPF Head Constable Naseer Ahmed of Rajouri district, who received martyrdom in Pulwama terror attack.
“The Governor has prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed sympathy and solidarity with his family members,” said an official statement issued here on Sunday.
“Naseer Ahmad was martyred at Pulwama, when a CRPF convoy was attacked by a suicide bomber in which 44 CRPF personnel were martyred,” the statement further added.
A suicide bomber rammed an explosive laden vehicle into the CRPF convoy, which was moving from Jammu to Srinagar in Lethpora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on February 14 at around 3:15 pm. Pakistan based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) claimed the responsibility of the attack. (ANI)
