New Delhi [India], January 6 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Jangpura Assembly constituency, Manish Sisodia on Monday invited the youth studying in college to join 'Internship with Manish Sisodia' program to gain hands-on experience how the electoral process works in a democracy.
"I had written on a social media platform that I am going to contest election from Jangpura and I would love it if the youth of the country come and work with me, especially the youth who are studying in college should come and do an internship. So in this way, we launched a program called 'Internship with Manish Sisodia' in which I invited college students. If you (students) want to see how leaders work, how elections are contested and how the electoral process works in a democracy, then you should come here and work, help and learn from here. I am very happy that hundreds of youth showed interest in it and some of those young friends are now working with me in Jangpura," Manish Sisodia said.
On December 21, Manish Sisodia announced an internship named after him, aimed at providing the city's youths with hands-on experience in leadership and the election process.
"If you are interested in leadership and want to understand how leaders think, work, and run election campaigns, this program is for you," Sisodia said in a self-made video.
Manish Sisodia has earlier represented the Patparganj seat between 2013-2024. In the 2020 assembly polls, he won the seat by narrow margins. This time he is contesting elections from Jangpura against BJP leader Tarvinder Singh Marwah.
Earlier today, Aam Aadmi Party national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal alleged that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will soon raid the residence of senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia.
"I had said a few days ago that Delhi CM Atishi ji will be arrested and some AAP leaders will be raided. According to reliable sources, there will be a CBI raid at Manish Sisodia's house in coming days. BJP is losing the Delhi elections. These arrests and raids are the result of their frustration. So far they have not found anything against us, they will not find anything in the future either. "AAP" is a staunchly honest party," Arvind Kejriwal posted on X.
Ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections in February 2025, the battle between the Congress, AAP, and BJP has become intense, with these three parties levelling allegations against each other.
The assembly elections in Delhi are due in February, and the dates for the same are expected to be announced in a few days. (ANI)
