Youth power can change country's fate: PM Modi

Tumakuru (Karnataka) [India], Mar. 4 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday hailed the young generation stressing that the immense energy of youth power can change the fate of the country:

Addressing a Youth Convention in Karnataka's Tumakuru via video conferencing, the Prime Minister said there is always something to learn during any sort of conversation with young generation.

"I always try to meet more youth, talk and listen to their experiences and to work according to their hopes and aspiration," he said.

The Prime Minister further said that the Centre, after coming to power in 2014, has taken many decisions to make use of this energy in nation building.

"The youth can start their own business on their own, they can get a non-bank guarantee loan, for this, the Prime Minister's money scheme is being run by the government. Till now, about Rs. 11 crore loans have been given in the country under the money scheme. More than Rs. 14.1 million loan has been sanctioned for the youth of Karnataka," he added.

He also added that apart from promoting skill development and self-employment, the Centre has also worked to create a market for the products of young people.

Lauding the people of Karnataka, the Prime Minister said that the people there have maintained a balance between spirituality and technology.

"In Karnataka, people not only discuss pilgrimage but technology too. Here, there is talk of God and new innovations are also discussed. A new model of spiritual festival and youth festival is evolving in Karnataka. I hope these events will inspire others across the country," he added.

He further asked the youth about their life resolution and said, "I am also asking you this question, because in life I had also asked myself this question once. As soon as we face this question, the path of life becomes equally clear."(ANI)
