Yogi Government issues guidelines to Food and Civil Supplies Dept to curb hoarding of pulses

The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued instructions to senior officials in the Department of Food and Civil Supplies to address the issues of hoarding and price increases of pulses within the state.

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 6 (ANI): The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued instructions to senior officials in the Department of Food and Civil Supplies to address the issues of hoarding and price increases of pulses within the state.
These instructions include conducting inspections and verifications of pulse traders to enforce the revised stock limit set by the Central Government effectively. Furthermore, immediate registration on the portal is required for traders engaging in pulse transactions.
The government has also instructed all pulse traders to declare their weekly stocks on the designated portal.
Department official Alok Kumar mentioned, "In accordance with government directives, District Magistrates have been requested to ensure that dealers, importers, millers, stockists and traders working in the state should register themselves on the Government of India portal, http://fcainfoweb.nic.in/psp and declare their weekly (every Friday) stock from time to time".
As per the latest update, a total of 1,878 pulse traders are registered on the central government's portal, and they have declared a total stock of 138,442 metric tons, which includes 24,686 metric tons of toor dal, 16,376 metric tons of urad dal, and 39,150 metric tons of masoor dal. (ANI)
