Work in synergy to provide better security environment to people: J-K DGP to officials

Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh on Sunday visited the Poonch and Rajouri districts and held a security review meeting with the officials of police and army.

Poonch (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], September 3 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh on Sunday visited the Poonch and Rajouri districts and held a security review meeting with the officials of police and army.  
DGP Dilbag Singh chaired review meetings at Brigade Headquarters at Mendhar, Poonch and at Kalakote in Rajouri. DGP took stock of the infiltration attempts, narco trade and drone activities from across the border. 
The top police official also directed the officials to strengthen of the security grid by activating Naka checking points on different routes to keep a check on terror activities. He also stressed strengthening the area domination Plan.
"DGP Dilbagh Singh emphasized on utilizing modern technology and human intelligence to monitor the movement on borders and also in the hinterland to prevent anti-national activities and incidents thereof," an official statement issued by J-K police read.  
Appreciating the joint efforts of Police and other security forces, the DGP impressed upon the officers to work in synergy to provide a better security environment to the people, especially to the people living in difficult terrains of Rajouri and Poonch areas.
"Operation posts are being established by J-K Police alongwith the Army in border areas to further augment the anti-terror grid and block the evil attempts being attempted from across the border," DGP said. 
During the review meeting, he directed for intensified manhunt against drug peddlers saying that agencies from across the border are using it against our youth.
"J-K Police and other security forces are working shoulder to shoulder against terrorism and hope that forces would continue their good work with more dedication and coordination to realise the goal of terror-free Jammu and Kashmir," DGP said. 
Jammu and Kashmir DGP Singh also discussed an incident wherein members of a particular community were targeted and said that such attempts are made by the anti-national elements to harm communal harmony.
"The DGP directed to strengthening the anti-terror grid by enhancing the human intelligence network besides the modern technology. The officers from the army and police apprised the DGP regarding the present security scenario and the measures in place on the anti-terror front," an official statement said. (ANI)
