"Will take forward ideas, policies of PM Modi": Newly appointed Tripura Governor Nallu Indrasena Reddy

A day after being appointed as the new Governor of Tripura, Nallu Indrasena Reddy on Thursday pledged to take forward the policies and ideas of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], October 19 (ANI): A day after being appointed as the new Governor of Tripura, Nallu Indrasena Reddy on Thursday pledged to take forward the policies and ideas of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"I will try everything possible for the development of the Northeast state. I will try to take forward the policies and ideas of PM Modi. I will work with the government for the development of the state," he told ANI in Hyderabad on Thursday.
A national secretary of the BJP, Indra Sena Reddy Nallu has thrice served as an MLA in Andhra Pradesh.
Currently, Satyadev Narayan Arya is serving as the 19th governor of Tripura. A BJP leader from Bihar, he previously served as the Governor of Haryana.
On Wednesday, President Droupadi Murmu appointed former Jharkhand chief minister Raghubar Das as the governor of Odisha and Nallu as the governor of Tripura.
An official statement from the President's Secretariat issued on Wednesday, read, "The President of India is pleased to make the following appointments:- Indra Sena Reddy Nallu as Governor of Tripura and Raghubar Das as Governor of Odisha."
"The above appointments will take effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices," the statement added.
Raghubar Das was appointed as the 26th governor of Odisha. Apart from being the former Jharkhand CM, he also served as the party's state president twice.
At present, Ganeshi Lal holds the office as the state's 25th governor.
He was sworn in as the Odisha governor in 2018. (ANI)
