"Will never allow dream of creating Miya-land to become a reality": Assam BJP

Due to the population explosion of more than 1 crore infiltrated illegal Bangladeshi-origin minorities during the Congress regime, their long-standing attempt to convert Assam into a Miya-land will never be allowed to succeed under any circumstances, stated the press release issued from the BJP headquarters at Basistha Chariali, Assam, BJP's chief spokesperson Kishor Kumar Upadhyay.

Guwahati (Assam) [India], July 31 (ANI): "Due to the population explosion of more than 1 crore (10 million) infiltrated illegal Bangladeshi-origin minorities" during the Congress regime, "their long-standing attempt to convert Assam into a Miya-land will never be allowed to succeed under any circumstances", Assam BJP said in a statement.
Assam Pradesh BJP's chief spokesperson Kishor Kumar Upadhyay said that already, "due to the aggression of East Bengal origin Muslims, the indigenous population in several districts of Assam is under severe threat".
"These people have also challenged our culture, language, and religion. As an example, in Dhubri district, as per the 1991 Census, the Muslim population was 9,38,789; whereas in the 2011 Census, it rose to 15,53,023 - an increase of 6,14,234 in 20 years. On the other hand, in 1991, the Hindu population in Dhubri was 3,82,817, which increased only to 3,88,380 in 2011 -- an increase of merely 5,563. Similarly, in Barpeta district, from 1991 to 2011, the Hindu population decreased by 64,963, while the Muslim population increased to 4,21,062. In this way, in districts such as Darrang, Morigaon, Mangaldoi, and South Salmara, the aggressive illegal migration and dominance of Bengali-origin Muslims have turned Hindus into minorities. Taking advantage of this situation, a youth named Ashraful Hussain through "Miya poetry", and legislator Sherman Ali, demanding a "Miya Museum" at the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra -- an institution founded in the name of Srimanta Sankardev, the father of Assamese culture and neo-Vaishnavism -- are seen encouraging Bengali-origin Muslims towards the Miyaland agenda," said in the press release.
The Assam State BJP also said that, during government-led evictions of encroachments on lands such as VGRs, PGRs, forests, satras, and temple lands illegally occupied by Bengali-origin Muslims -- "these encroachers threatened mass agitation" claiming a population of 1 crore 40 lakh (14 million) Muslims with hundreds of organisations, aiming to "transform Assam into Miya-land".
"This directly insults the very identity of the Assamese nation and reveals their hateful intentions and conspiracies. For a long time, this Miya Muslim community has strategically carried out illegal land encroachments, unregulated population growth, and cross-border infiltration with the long-term goal of geographically and demographically weakening Assam to ultimately integrate it into an Islamic state," said the press statement.
The spokesperson further said that, due to the religious tolerance and liberal nature of Assamese people, places like - Jamai Bosti inside the Batadrava Satra (established by Srimanta Sankardev), Madrasas on lands of Rampur Satra (where Guru studied), Dhakai-Patri in Jorhat,Changing the name of Surya Pahar near Kamakhya Temple to "Qudratpur", Building mosques and madrasas at Negheribill, replacing the Aithan (sacred altar)-- are "clear signs of aggressive expansion" by Bengali-origin Muslims in cultural, political, economic, and social domains.
"The BJP government under the leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will never allow the dream of creating Miya-land to become a reality. It is the BJP's primary and foundational responsibility to free every illegally encroached land held by Bengali-origin Muslims and deport every illegal Bangladeshi infiltrator from Assam," Assam State BJP said in the press statement.
