New Delhi [India], May 21 (ANI): Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MP Sasmit Patra on Wednesday praised India's "significant" initiative of sending all-party delegation around the global to highlight India's firm stance against terrorism.
Patra, who is a part of the Group 4 delegation, led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde, stated that their group will underline India's new normal - any act of terror against us will be considered an act of war.
"This is a significant initiative because we will expose Pakistan and present its terror linkages at an international platform. We will also underline India's new normal, that any act of terror against us will be considered an act of war... Considering our preparations and briefing, I believe our delegation will be successful..." the BJD MP said before leaving for UAE.
Earlier, while speaking to ANI, Patra said, "As far as Pakistan-terror is concerned, it has become very clear to the world that Pakistan is isolated. Earlier, they used to receive support from somewhere or the other. But this time, after Pahalgam incident India received unprecedented support and it (the incident) was condemned and Pakistan was left almost singular. This makes it clear that the world has understood the designs of Pakistan, all we have to do is to make our message and details reach them...Every nation wants terrorism to end. Pakistan is infamous as terroism factory. So, we feel that when we place the details that we have received, the country would get a long-term dividend."
Meanwhile, the second group of the all-party delegations led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde emplaned for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as part of a visit to key partner countries to highlight India's firm stand against terrorism and Pakistan's role in promoting it.
The delegation will visit UAE, Liberia, Democratic Republic of Congo and Sierra Leone. This 8-member delegation also includes BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj, BJP MP Atul Garg, BJD MP Sasmit Patra, BJP's Rajya Sabha MP and senior advocate Manan Kumar Mishra, BJP leader SS Ahluwalia, IUML MP ET Mohammed Basheer and Ambassador Sujan Chinoy.
The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, shared a picture of the delegation and captioned it as: "United in the fight against terrorism."
It further added, "The 2nd group of All Party Delegation headed by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Eknath Shinde has left New Delhi. The delegation will be visiting the United Arab Emirates, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone and Liberia to carry India's strong message of zero tolerance against terrorism and apprise about Operation Sindoor."
Earlier today, Group 3 of all-party delegation, led by JDU National Working President Sanjay Kumar Jha left for their visit to Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Republic of Korea, and Singapore.
In the context of Operation Sindoor and India's continued fight against cross-border terrorism, seven All-Party Delegations are visiting key partner countries, including members of the UN Security Council, this month.
The All-Party Delegations will project India's national consensus and resolute approach to combating terrorism in all forms and manifestations. They would carry forth to the world the country's strong message of zero tolerance against terrorism. (ANI)
