Will ensure anyone joining my movement has no political inclination: Anna Hazare

New Delhi [India], Jan 16 (ANI): Social activist and anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare on Monday stated that those joining his movement need to assure him that they won't join any political party or fight elections.

"Before joining me, a person has to give an affidavit saying he/she will not join any political party or fight elections," he said to reporters here.

When posed with a question on the emergence of a leader similar to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Anna assured this wouldn't happen, as he is 'more aware' now.

"I was not very alert then. But now, I will make sure that it will never happen again," he said.

Earlier in December, Anna announced that he would start a "peaceful protest" from March 23, 2018, for bringing an improvement in the conditions of farmers in the nation.

"We will start a peaceful protest from March 23 next year in Delhi. I have toured nine states till now and urged everyone to join me," he told ANI.

He further said the protest would be peaceful and there would be no ounce of violence. (ANI)
