"Will be remembered for monumental service to society": PM Modi pays tribute to Sarada Math president

Taking to social media handle, the Prime Minister posted on X, "Pravrajika Anandaprana Mataji, the Most Revered President of Sri Sarada Math and Ramakrishna Sarada Mission will be remembered for her monumental service to society and inculcating values of spirituality among people."

New Delhi [India], April 30 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the fifth president of Sri Sarada Math and Ramakrishna Sarada Mission on her demise on Tuesday and said that she will be remembered for her monumental service to society.
Taking to social media handle, the Prime Minister posted on X, "Pravrajika Anandaprana Mataji, the Most Revered President of Sri Sarada Math and Ramakrishna Sarada Mission will be remembered for her monumental service to society and inculcating values of spirituality among people."
"Her efforts in healthcare, education and empowering Nari Shakti will also be remembered. My thoughts are with the countless devotees in this sad hour. Om Shanti," added the post.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also expressed grief on the demise of Pravrajika Anandaprana Mataji and offered her 'pranam' to the spiritual leader.
"Saddened to know that the Most Revered President of Sri Sarada Math and Ramkrishna Sarada Mission, Pravrajika Anandaprana Mataji entered Maha Samadhi today morning at Sri Sarada Math, Dakshineswar. My pranam to the departed soul of the great spiritual leader. My condolences to the millions of devotees across the world," posted Banerjee on X.
BJP chief JP Nadda also expressed sorrow on the death of Sri Sarada Math and posted on X, "Deeply saddened by the passing away of Pravrajika Anandaprana Mataji. Her legacy of spiritual guidance and boundless service towards humanity will be remembered forever. My thoughts and prayers are with all the devotees during this difficult time. Om Shanti!"
WB BJP leader also shared an image of the spiritual leader and paid tributes to the President of Sarada Math saying, "I am extremely upset that Most Revered Pravrajika Anandaprana Mataji; President; Sri Sarada Math and Ramakrishna Sarada Mission has left for her heavenly abode."
"She will always be remembered for her Social Work which touched the lives of countless people. I bow down and offer my sincerest respects and pray that her departed soul attains eternal peace. Her passing away will create a huge void in the spiritual world. I offer heartfelt condolences to the millions of devotees who are overwhelmed with grief. Om Shanti," read the post.
Pravrajika Anandaprana Mataji, the vice president of Sri Sarada Math and Ramakrishna Sarada Mission, passed away on April 30 at the age of 97.
Born in Kolkata in 1927 and received spiritual initiation from Swami Shankarananda, the seventh president of Belur Math, Pravrajika Anandaprana Mataji joined the order in 1957 at Baghbazar Nivedita Girls' High School.
She is known for her service to society, promoting spirituality, and her efforts in healthcare, education, and empowering women. (ANI)
