"Why so much hatred": Asaduddin Owaisi targets PM Modi over 'infiltrators' remarks

In his speech in Rajasthan's Banswara earlier in the month, the Prime Minister said that if the Congress came to power, it would redistribute the wealth of people to Muslims and cited former PM Manmohan Singh's remark that the minority community had the first claim on the country's resources.

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], May 2 (ANI): AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi targeted the Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his "infiltrators" remarks and accused the PM of creating hatred to win the election.
"The Prime Minister of 133 crore Indian is calling 17 crore Muslims as infiltrators. Can you explain, how are you infiltrators. Why is PM Modi out to insult the Muslim community? Why is there so much of hatred?
"Are not Muslims part of India if they donot vote for you. What right does the PM have to call the Muslims, constituting 14 percent of the population, infiltrators? And accuse the Muslim women for producing more children," he added.
The remarks came while addressing a public meeting at Yakutpura Assembly constituency.
He added: "The man who speaks most lies is Narendra Modi. The government data suggests that the ferility ratio of Muslim women has dropped. He will not cite these figures in his speeches. How much hatred are you (PM Modi) creating to win one election. Why are so scared and seem to be frustrated?"
In his speech in Rajasthan's Banswara earlier in the month, the Prime Minister said that if the Congress came to power, it would redistribute the wealth of people to Muslims and cited former PM Manmohan Singh's remark that the minority community had the first claim on the country's resources. Modi further alleged that the Congress plans to give people's hard-earned money and valuables to "infiltrators" and "those who have more children".
"You (PM Modi) are giving a bad name to our women. He is giving the impression that if the population of the Muslims will increase, it wil exceed the Hindu population. It will never happen," he said.
Owaisi is facing BJP's Kompella Madhavi Latha from the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency.
Polling for all 17 Lok Sabha seats in the state will be held on May 13 in the fourth round of the seven-phase elections.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) (now known as the BRS) won 9 seats, the BJP secured 4 seats, the Congress won 3 seats, and the AIMIM emerged victorious in 1 seat.
The voting of the first and second phases was concluded and the next round of voting will be held on May 7. The counting of votes will be held on June 4. (ANI)
