Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 12 (ANI): Reacting to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's statement on Ayodhya temple construction, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader Sanjay Raut said that the Home Minister was lying because the Ram temple at Ayodhya was built after the "sacrifice of hundreds of Karsevaks".
"Ayodhya was built only after the sacrifice of hundreds of Karsevaks," Sanjay Raut said speaking to reporters on Monday.
Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi tasks that seemed impossible have been completed without a single day of bloodshed.
Speaking about Manipur violence, Raut said, "What has happened in Manipur? The Home Minister says that the Ram Temple was built without a single day of bloodshed. It is very surprising that the Home Minister has such wrong information."
"Even today there is murder ongoing in Jammu and Kashmir, blood is flowing, Kashmiri Pandits have not yet returned home, even today our soldiers are being murdered...this kind of statement by Amit Shah is an insult to those who sacrificed their lives," Raut added.
Sanjay Raut reminded that the Shiv Sena, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and several other people strived in the Ayodhya temple movement.
"There were Shiv Sena, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and many people, the Home Minister should be aware of this, or perhaps the people of BJP were not there so they are not aware of it," he said.
Further, terming the Ram temple movement "violent", Sanjay Raut said, "There was bloodshed, there is no doubt about it, the entire land had turned red, Godhra incident also had a connection with Ayodhya. You are the Home Minister of the country, you should not lie."
The Shiv Sena (UBT) MP argued that one can give the credit of the Ram Temple mandir to the Supreme Court or those who sacrificed their lives.
"If you want to give credit then give it to the Supreme Court and the people who lost their lives, why give it to PM Modi? This kind of statement by Amit Shah is an insult to the Karsevaks," he said.
Speaking about the transfer of CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General of India) officers who were submitting a report on the Ayushman Bharat and Dwarka Expressway scams, Raut said, "Modiji had said for ten years that neither will he eat nor let anyone eat. However, some are eating while some are not able to satisfy their hunger even after belching. Rahul Gandhi has said that two people are buying everything. These scams have come to light, the entire scam will be exposed in 2024." (ANI)
