West Bengal STF seizes fake currency notes, one held

One person was apprehended by a team of Special Task Force (STF) with huge quantity of fake currency notes in Malda on Friday.

Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], October 7 (ANI): One person was apprehended by a team of Special Task Force (STF) with huge quantity of fake currency notes in Malda on Friday, officials said.
The STF held a raid based on secret source information regarding the movement of a suspected person.
The STF said, "One person named Obaidul Hoque (31) of Kaliachak district Malda was apprehended. The raid was held near Faloharini Kali temple at Samsi Road under Ratua police station in Malda district West Bengal."
During the search of this apprehended person, a total amount of Fake Indian Currency Note (FICN) of Rs. 1,45,500 was recovered from him. All the notes were of Rs 500 denomination.
On the basis of the written complaint of STF WB, case has been registered at Ratua Police Station under the Indian Penal Code. (ANI)
