Chandigarh (Haryana) [India], June 25 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday said that the government will employ 50,000 people in the state government, adding that the government has provided 1.32 lakh jobs to people based purely on the abilities of the person.
"As I had promised earlier, we will employ 50000 people in the Haryana government... Our social and economic policy is based on 'Antyodaya'... Thousands of youth, who have joined the Haryana government under this policy, will all be retained. Today's verdict raises no questions on the CET... Congress gave no jobs to people who had no money... We gave 1.32 lakh jobs to people based purely on the abilities of the person," Haryana CM.
Saini said that the government in the coming days will work diligently to meet the expectations of the people of the state.
"In the coming 100 days, we pledge to work hard and start working on the expectations of the people of Haryana. And in the coming time, we will make 50 thousand recruitments in Haryana," he added.
The Haryana Chief Minister also spoke about the SC's decision on granting extra marks to its domiciles in recruitment and said, "We respect the decision taken by the Supreme Court."
Earlier on June 8, the Haryana Chief Minister said his government will soon initiate the recruitment process to fill 50,000 vacant posts in the state.
The chief minister stressed on the continuation of the "transparent" recruitment system for government jobs.
In May, Saini took oath as the Haryana CM at a swearing-in ceremony in Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh.
After the collapse of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) alliance and the subsequent resignation of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, former CM Khattar said that the demand of the JJP leaders over the Lok Sabha polls seat allocation may have led to the split of the alliance.
He is also a close confidante of Khattar, whose second (consecutive) term ends this year. (ANI)
