New Delhi [India], May 25 (ANI): BJP candidate from the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha seat, Praveen Khandelwal cast his vote on Saturday, at a polling station in Ashok Vihar, Delhi.
Khandelwal, facing off against Congress candidate JP Agarwal, highlighted the enthusiasm and excitement among voters.
"There is enthusiasm and there is excitement, and we are winning the election. We will win the Chandni Chowk seat with a record margin," Khandelwal said before casting his vote.
"I have come with my entire family to vote. And in this grand festival of democracy, we have come with our family to ensure your participation," he added.
Responding to the Congress's claim of sweeping all seven seats in Delhi, Khandelwal remarked, "Everyone has the right to dream. I cannot stop anyone from dreaming."
Meanwhile, Khandelwal's mother said, ''My son will achieve great heights and surely he will win from this seat."

As the sixth and penultimate phase of polling for the Lok Sabha elections got underway at 7 am on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged voters to come out in large numbers and exercise their franchise.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said "I urge all those who are voting in the 6th phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections to vote in large numbers. Every vote counts, make yours count too! Democracy thrives when its people are engaged and active in the electoral process. I especially urge women voters and youth voters to vote in large numbers."
Meanwhile, DCP Election cell of Delhi Police, Sanjay Sehrawat on Thursday said that 33,000 policemen of Delhi Police, 51 paramilitary companies, and 17,500 Home Guards will be deployed in the national capital in view of the Lok Sabha polls to be conducted on May 25.
"Delhi Police has completed its preparations for the elections to be held on May 25. There are 2628 voting centres out of which 429 are highly sensitive. 33,000 policemen of Delhi Police will be deployed at the polling booth and apart from this, 51 paramilitary companies will also be deployed for security and 17,500 Home Guards who have come from Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and MP will also be deployed," DCP Sehrawat said.
"We have hired drones in very sensitive areas to monitor any illegal activities," he added.
Sehrawat further informed that a large number of CCTV cameras have been installed on the interstate borders as elections in Delhi and Haryana are on the same day.
Delhi is undergoing voting in a single phase on all seven Lok Sabha seats with a fierce contest between the BJP and the INDIA bloc, comprising the AAP and Congress. The counting of votes and declaration of results will be done on June 4.
The Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress are fighting the elections in alliance in the national capital, with the AAP contesting four and the Congress three seats.
The seven parliamentary constituencies in Delhi are Chandni Chowk, East Delhi, New Delhi, North East Delhi, North West Delhi, South Delhi, and West Delhi. (ANI)
