Mumbai [India], Nov 27(ANI): Standing in solidarity with India on the 10th anniversary of deadly terror attacks that took place in Mumbai on November 26, 2008, the British Deputy High Commission in Mumbai said that the United Kingdom stands along with India in the global fight against terrorism.
The official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, Raveesh Kumar cited the official Twitter account of British Deputy High Commission in Mumbai and retweeted them saying, "Today we remember families of victims and survivors of the #MumbaiTerrorAttacks. The UK stands united with India in the global fight against terrorism"
Condemning the Mumbai attacks, Minister of State for Asia and the Pacific, Mark Field also remarked that such acts of terrorism never had any justification.
Member of Parliament of the United Kingdom took to Twitter saying, "On the 10 year anniversary of the appalling attacks in Mumbai my thoughts are again with the families and friends of those killed and injured. There can be no justification for acts of terror and the UK continues to stand in solidarity with India in the fight against terrorism."
India's financial capital came to a standstill on this very day a decade ago when 10 Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists who came to Mumbai via sea route from Pakistan carried out a series of coordinated shooting and bombing attacks across the city.
Attacks took place at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) railway station, Cama Hospital, Nariman House business and residential complex, Leopold Cafe, Taj Mahal Hotel and Tower and the Oberoi-Trident Hotel in Mumbai city. (ANI)
