WB: TMC worker beaten by colleague for chanting Jai Shri Ram in Basirhat

]North 24 Parganas (West Bengal) [India], Oct 20 (ANI): A TMC worker sustained injuries after he was allegedly beaten by his party worker for chanting Jai Shri Ram here in Basirhat of North 24 Parganas on Saturday.

North 24 Parganas (West Bengal) [India], Oct 20 (ANI): A Trinamool Congress worker sustained injuries after he was allegedly beaten by his party worker for chanting Jai Shri Ram here in Basirhat of North 24 Parganas on Saturday.
The victim has been identified as Ranjit Mondal while the accused has been named as TMC cadre Tarak Paroi.
As per the complaint filed by Mondal, he was chatting with party workers when he uttered Jai Shri Ram, following which Paroi hurled abuses at him and subsequently thrashed him.
Later, the victim was rushed to the nearby hospital for medical aid.
A case has been registered in Harwa Police Station. However, no arrest has been made so far.
Police's version is awaited in the matter. (ANI)
