Patna (Bihar) [India], November 22 (ANI): Bihar Bharatiya Janata Party chief Dilip Jaiswal on Saturday slammed Congress over its proposed 'Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod Maha Rally' in the capital on December 14, saying that the party has no issues to raise and the people of Bihar had given an answer to opposition allegations.
Speaking with ANI, Dilip Jaiswal alleged that the issue of "vote theft" will lead to the "downfall of Congress".
""What other issue does Congress have? Congress has nothing to do... Which is why they keep doing this. By raising the issue of vote theft in Bihar, it has drowned Tejaswi and his entire party. Therefore, the issue of vote theft means the downfall of Congress is certain," Dilip Jaiswal told ANI.
Congress leader KC Venugopal has announced that the party will hold Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod Maha Rally on December 14 to "send a message across the nation" against the alleged "vote theft."
"The spectre of Vote Chori is the biggest danger looming over our democracy today. To send a message across the nation against these attempts to destroy our Constitution, the Congress will be holding the Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod Maha Rally on December 14th (1.30pm onwards) at Ramlila Maidan, New Delhi," KC Venugopal said on X.
He said that the rally will mark Congress's fight to "reclaim Indian democracy from the clutches of the Vote Chors!"
"We will not remain silent as this attack on the electoral system unfolds in front of our eyes. This Maha Rally is only the beginning of our fight to reclaim Indian democracy from the clutches of the Vote Chors!" he said.
Jaiswal also attacked the leadership of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
"The entire INDI alliance is about to break. Under Rahul Gandhi's leadership, no one wants to remain in the INDI alliance... Just yesterday, a very big ally party of the INDI coalition, coincidentally, began an effort to leave the INDI alliance and join the NDA," he claimed.
Mahagathbandhan suffered a major defeat in the Bihar Assembly election, securing only 35 seats out of 243.
The NDA registered a historic landslide victory in the 2025 Bihar assembly polls, winning 202 of the 243 seats. The ruling alliance secured a three-fourths majority in the 243-member Bihar Assembly, marking the second time the NDA crossed the 200-seat mark in state polls. In 2010, it had won 206 seats. (ANI)
