Senior Congress leader Motilal Vora

New Delhi [India], July 21 (ANI): Senior Congress leader and one of the accused in the National Herald case, Motilal Vora, moved an application in a Delhi court on Saturday, to stop senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy from posting case-related details on social media.
The petition was filed shortly after Swamy recorded his statement before Delhi's Patiala House Court in connection with the aforementioned case.
In his petition, Vora said freedom of speech was not absolute, adding that Swamy should be restrained from posting anything on social media, in the interest of the administration of justice.
The court has fixed the next hearing in this matter on August 25, when it will record the remaining part of Swamy's statement.
In May, the Patiala House Court had permitted Swamy to summon those documents, officials after examination, as evidence in the National Herald case.
The court had also dismissed Swamy's petition in the case seeking Congress President Rahul Gandhi and his mother, Sonia Gandhi, to either admit or deny whether the documents filed by him were originals.
Swamy, a petitioner in the case, had filed three applications, accusing Rahul, Sonia and others of misappropriating funds.
He had also alleged that the Congress granted an interest-free loan of Rs. 90.25 crore to Associated Journals Limited (AJL), the owner of National Herald newspaper. (ANI)
