New Delhi [India], September 9 (ANI): Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday extended heartfelt wishes to newly elected Vice President CP Radhakrishnan, stating that his long-standing public service, commitment to democratic values and vision for the nation would enrich the office he assumed.
In a post on X, Gadkari wrote, "Heartiest Congratulations to Shri @CPRGuv Ji on being elected as the Vice-President of India. His long-standing public service, commitment to democratic values, and vision for the nation will undoubtedly enrich the august office he now assumes, while also strengthening India's voice both within the country and on global platforms.
"Wishing him wisdom and strength in this distinguished responsibility towards the progress of our nation," the post read.


Radhakrishnan defeated INDIA bloc nominee Justice B Sudershan Reddy by 152 votes in the Vice Presidential elections held between 10 am and 5 pm on Tuesday.
A total of 98.20 per cent voter turnout was found in the Vice Presidential elections, wherein 767 MPs cast their vote out of 781.
Meanwhile, President Droupadi Murmu also extended her wishes and expressed confidence that his decades of experience in public life will contribute to the nation's progress.
In a post on X, President Murmu wrote, "Congratulations to Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan on being elected as the Vice President of India! Your decades of rich experience in public life will contribute significantly to the nation's progress. I extend my best wishes to you for a successful and impactful tenure."
Expressing 'confidence' that he will be an outstanding Vice President, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended greetings to newly elected VP CP Radhakrishnan, asserting that he will strengthen India's "Constitutional values" and enhance "Parliamentary discourse."
The Prime Minister hailed Radhakrishnan and mentioned that his life has been devoted towards serving society and empowering the poor and marginalised.
"Congratulations to Thiru CP Radhakrishnan Ji on winning the 2025 Vice Presidential election. His life has always been devoted to serving society and empowering the poor and marginalised. I am confident that he will be an outstanding VP, who will strengthen our Constitutional values and enhance Parliamentary discourse, Prime Minister Modi wrote on 'X'. (ANI)
