Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], June 2 (ANI): In an initiative aimed at bridging the gap between policy-making and implementation, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur organized the "Chintan Shivir" from May 31 to June 1.
This first-of-its-kind event, spearheaded by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai's government, sought to impart management skills to Chhattisgarh's ministers, promoting collaboration, innovation, and foresight.
The two-day intellectual retreat aimed to bolster the state's vision of building a "Viksit Chhattisgarh" (Developed Chhattisgarh).

The discussions also centered on establishing time-bound targets towards realizing the vision of a developed Chhattisgarh, aligning with the broader goal of 'Developed India' (Viksit Bharat) by 2047.
Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo expressed his gratitude for the valuable insights gained during the event. Addressing the event he said, "Certainly these two days will be memorable moments for us ministers. The guides said that Chhattisgarh is a very rich state, there are a lot of mineral resources and forest wealth here, and we can take it much further. The people here have blessed us and have made us sit in the government by giving us a historic victory. It is our duty to live up to their trust and take the state forward in terms of development".
"Our government has set up a separate department of good governance. Very important discussions were held on these topics in these two days. We got guidance from our CEO of NITI Aayog, Subrahmanyam ji, former CEO of NITI Aayog Amitabh Kant and Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe. All of us ministers listened to everyone like students for two days and understood them. We feel that this two-day Chintan Shivir will help in establishing good governance in Chhattisgarh gaining the trust of 3 crore people of the state and taking the state forward," he added.
Former CEO of NITI Aayog and G20 Sherpa Shri Amitabh Kant pointed out that Chhattisgarh boasts natural beauty and abundant mineral wealth. He stressed the importance of balanced mineral exploitation to strengthen the state's economy, while also highlighting the significance of developing tourism potential and effective branding.
