New Delhi [India], May 23 (ANI): Aam Aadmi party leader Sanjay Singh on Thursday levelled a serious allegation against the BJP, accusing it of indulging in vindictive politics by allegedly targeting Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's elderly parents.
"Prime Minister has stooped such a low level against Delhi CM, that first he arrested the minister of Kejriwal's cabinet, put them in jail, then arrested Kejriwal and today crossed all boundaries, that today, Kejriwal's old parents are being tortured by the police," Singh said.
"Kejriwal's father's age is 84. Even when he goes for a walk, he needs support, he can't hear properly. His mother who is 76 years old, when Kejriwal was arrested, two days before that, she underwent an operation. He could not even meet his mother before the operation and Kejriwal Ji was sent to jail," he added.
"The politics of vengeance of the Prime Minister has stooped so low that even Kejriwal's old parents are not being spared. The whole country, the whole of Delhi is watching this," the AAP leader told ANI.
The Aam Aadmi party leader alleged that the parents of the Delhi Chief Minister are being tortured in the name of interrogation. Sharing a photo of Kejriwal's mother, the AAP asserted that she has been unwell and requires assistance to walk.
"This is the mother of Arvind Kejriwal, who recently visited Lord Shri Ram with Kejriwal. She has been ill for quite some time and needs support to walk. Today dictator Modi is sending police to torture them in the name of interrogation. Modi ji, how low will you stoop for your dirty politics?", the AAP wrote in a post on X.

AAP leader Atishi also alleged that the parents of the Delhi CM are being harassed, claiming that they have been summoned for questioning.
"All limits have been crossed as his (Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal) old and ailing parents have been called for questioning today. Has the PM stooped so low that old parents are being harassed? The people of Delhi will give an answer to this through their vote. This whole thing is a conspiracy by the BJP," she said.

Kejriwal was released from Delhi's Tihar Jail on May 10, 50 days after he was jailed on corruption charges linked to the alleged liquor policy scam and hours after the Supreme Court granted him bail until June 1. (ANI)
