Authorities confirmed that operations to drive out the remaining wild elephants from the area will continue in the coming days.

In a continued effort to mitigate rising human-wildlife conflict in the region, the Forest Department carried out a special drive under its 'Operation Gajamukti' initiative, successfully caught two wild elephants and sent them back into the Aralam Farm forest on wednesday.

The Ministry of Railways, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, has launched an AI-enabled Intrusion Detection System (IDS) to prevent elephants from being hit by trains.

In a post on X, Kharge said the Survey's suggestions, including a possible ministerial veto on disclosures and shielding service records, transfers and staff reports of bureaucrats, reflected the government's intent to dilute public accountability. "The Economic Survey has called for 're-examination' of the RTI Act... After killing MGNREGA, is it RTI's turn to get murdered?" he asked.

"BJP doesn't approve of any default in fines or traffic rule violations. However, the CM of Telangana has stated that those who violate traffic rules will have their accounts automatically synchronised with the RTI department and their fines deducted," Rao said.
