Uddhav Thackrey At Shivneri Fort Ahead Of Ayodhya Visit

Pune (Maharashtra), Nov 22, (ANI): In a bid to revive the Ram Temple movement, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Shiv Sena have once again decided to come together to accelerate the construction of the temple.
The VHP and Shiv Sena had, in 1990, launched a similar movement which eventually led to the demolition of the Babri Masjid in 1992. The movement was at that time led by Bal Thackeray (Shiv Sena) and Ashok Singhal (VHP).
The two organisations are once again all set to begin separate events in various states to pressurise the Central Government to kick-start the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.
Shiv Sena chief, Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday visited the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Shivnari Fort to collect the soil, which he plans to carry to Uttar Pradesh on his visit to Ayodhya. Shivanari is the birth place of Chhatrapati Shivaji.
Thackeray while addressing his party workers at the Shivneri Fort said: " If Ram Mandir really needs to be built, then all of us need to come together and walk towards the final step. I am taking pure sand from here because Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born here (at Shivneri Fort). I am sure that this is not only sand but also feelings of all Hindus that I am taking along. There will be no speech in Ayodhya but rather I will perform aarti there. My main program has been declared on Dussehra which is to visit the temple."
The Shiv Sena supremo, at the Vijayadashami meet of his party, had announced that he will visit Ayodhya and urge the Narendra Modi government build Ram Temple. “Every time Ram Mandir issue is taken up during election only so when is it actually going to be build?. How long will you keep fooling people by saying 'Mandir Wahi Banayenge'?” he added.
The VHP, on the other hand, will be holding three major rallies -- in Ayodhya, Nagpur and Bengaluru -- later this month. Led by the head of its international chapter, Alok Kumar, the VHP met the governor of Himachal Pradesh Acharya Devvrat on Thursday. During the meeting, the Hindu organisation submitted a memorandum to the Governor demanding the state government to raise the matter with the Union Government to bring a law to build Ram temple in Ayodhya.
The Supreme Court on October 29 had adjourned hearings on the Ayodhya title suit till next year. (ANI)
