Former National Security Advisor (NSA) MK Narayanan on Wednesday warned that the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran could escalate into a serious crisis, with far-reaching implications for the global economy and security.

"The supply chain is not in our hands. It is in the hands of the Government of India. But even then, we have called the gas companies and CNG companies and held meetings with them, and requested them to do for the public what we should do. It takes time to resolve the problem; now we have to see how much they heed our words," the CM said.

Congress General Secretary Avinash Pande on Wednesday criticised the government over the commercial LPG cylinder shortage, stating that the situation is creating an atmosphere of scarcity and directly impacting the budgets of common people.

"The government should clarify - what is the amount of reserves in our country presently, how much is left, how much can be consumed over how many days, and by when are they expecting that the LPG supply would be normalised. I believe the government is having talks; the people of this nation also need to be told about the current situation. If there is a crisis of energy, then by when the government plans to resolve it should also be clarified to the people, especially to the common man," he said.
