Vaishno Devi pilgrimage suspended on New Track due to landslide

During the second phase of the Samajik Samrasta Mahotsav, 21 Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe families whose homes Governor Shri Acharya Devvratji had visited and with whom he had shared meals during the Gram Kalyan Programme were invited and felicitated at Lok Bhavan.

Reasi Police has registered an FIR against Rahul Kumar for allegedly operating as a pony handler without a valid ID or registration card on the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Yatra Track. The case was registered under Section 223(a) of the BNS within the jurisdiction of Police Post Banganga, with police directing all pony operators and handlers to carry valid registration/ID cards.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday reviewed the arrangements for Char Dham Yatra-2026 through video conferencing. 

The allocation was approved by Chief Minister VD Satheesan following a review meeting on preparations for the Sabarimala pilgrimage. The proposal for the allocation was submitted by the Public Works Minister and was promptly approved by the Chief Minister.

“We can’t say about the opposition. But female police and male police pushed them. I don’t know why they were not allowed to go inside. They were in normal attire, normal saris only,” Vani Devi told reporters.
