Uttarkhand CM praises SDRF for "efficiency" during Prayagraj Mahakumbh, says experiences "useful" for Haridwar Kumbh

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], March 4 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami lauded the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) for their performance during the Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025, stating that the experiences gained would prove invaluable for the Haridwar Kumbh in 2027.
Speaking at the Mahakumbh Prayagraj 2025 Abhinandan programme held at his residence, CM Dhami acknowledged the team's role in enhancing Uttarakhand's reputation through their dedication and efficiency in handling various responsibilities during the massive religious gathering.
On this occasion, he also presented the SDRF team with a Rs 5 lakh cheque as a reward.

"The SDRF team has increased the prestige of Uttarakhand by demonstrating its efficiency in the Mahakumbh, and this experience will be useful in the 2027 Kumbh in Haridwar. It will also help in organizing the Kumbh in a grand manner," said CM Dhami.
"It was a challenging task to handle the challenge of the Mahasangam of Sanatan Dharma. The heads of the Uttarakhand government, along with UP, have been raised high due to better arrangements and management. These experiences will prove helpful in the 2027 Kumbh. Our effort is to have a well-planned parking system for vehicles, for which the government is fully committed," he added.
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is a state sensitive in terms of various geographical conditions and disasters. SDRF has done commendable work to overcome these challenges. SDRF has played an important role in excellent disaster management. Quick response and state-of-the-art equipment for disaster management have helped a lot in reducing the impact of disasters in the state. (ANI)
