Uttarakhand to continue with 'Janta curfew' till Mar 31: Trivendra Singh Rawat

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], Mar 22 (ANI): Uttarakhand will continue with 'Janta curfew' till March 31 in wake of coronavirus pandemic, said state Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Sunday.

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], Mar 22 (ANI): Uttarakhand will continue with 'Janta curfew' till March 31 in wake of coronavirus pandemic, said state Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Sunday.
Essential services such as food and medicines will be available in the state.
"After the nationwide Janta curfew that was observed today against coronavirus, we have decided to continue the curfew in the entire state till March 31. However, essential services, such as food and medicines will be available for all," said Rawat.
Moreover, the inter-city and inter-state bus services will remain suspended until March 31. The Chief Minister has asked people to minimise travel during a lockdown.
"We have decided that inter-city and inter-state bus services will remain suspended till March 31. People should travel minimum during the lockdown, they should not rush from the city or village they are living in at present to other places," he said.
Earlier in the day, Rawat said that the faith shown by people during 'Janta curfew' has assured him that the country will come out on top in the fight against coronavirus.

As per the ICMR, 341 people have tested positive for coronavirus in India as of March 22. (ANI)
