Badarinath, one of the holy shrines for Vaishnavites, experienced cold temperatures after rainfall and light snowfall on the higher peaks.
Meanwhile, the National Centre for Coastal Research (NCCR) on Sunday predicted the possibility of high waves and coastal erosion along the Kerala coast until 11:30 PM tomorrow.
In light of this, the District Disaster Management Authority has urged fishermen and coastal residents to exercise extreme caution.
Authorities have advised certain precautions, which include evacuation from Hazardous Areas. "Residents in danger zones should relocate as per the instructions of local authorities," stated officials.
Authorities suggested securing fishing vessels. "Ensure the safety of boats and other fishing vessels. Maintaining a safe distance between vessels can prevent collision-related accidents," stated authorities.
Earlier, Megastar Rajinikanth paid a sacred visit to the Kedarnath Dham and Badrinath Dham in Uttarakhand.
The revered Kedarnath Dham has witnessed a massive influx of devotees, with the number surpassing more than 7 lakh till June 6.
Notably, the Uttarakhand government has made registration mandatory for all pilgrims coming for the Chardham Yatra. The state Chief Secretary Radha Raturi on May 22 issued an advisory for mandatory registration.
The Hindu pilgrimage Char Dham circuit consists of four sites: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. The River Yamuna originates from the Yamunotri Glacier in Uttarakhand. Pilgrimage season peaks in Uttarakhand for the Char Dham Yatra annually during the summers. (ANI)
