Uttarakhand police arrest four youths for vandalism, firing in Rishikesh

"Within 12 hours, four youths who committed hooliganism, assault, vandalism and aerial firing near Chandrabhaga bridge in Rishikesh were arrested by Dehradun police within 12 hours. 1 country-made pistol with 3 live cartridges, 2 hockey sticks, 1 stump and a car was recovered from them," posted Uttarakhand police on X.

Rishikesh (Uttarakhand) [India], October 21 (ANI): Uttarakhand police on Saturday arrested four persons accused of committing vandalism and firing shots in the middle of the road near Chandrabhaga bridge last night in Rishikesh.
Police have recovered one country-made pistol, three live cartridges two hockey sticks, one stump and a car used from the possession of the accused.
"Within 12 hours, four youths who committed hooliganism, assault, vandalism and aerial firing near Chandrabhaga bridge in Rishikesh were arrested by Dehradun police within 12 hours. 1 country-made pistol with 3 live cartridges, 2 hockey sticks, 1 stump and a car was recovered from them," posted Uttarakhand police on X.
Two weeks ago, Uttarakhand Police on Tuesday sealed the property of drug smuggler and gangster Kapil Dev worth Rs 50 lakh, said police.
Dehradun Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh said, "Along with the Gangster Act, many cases of assault, robbery, theft and drug trafficking have been registered against the accused in various police stations of the district."
The SSP said that the accused had acquired the said illegal property by earning illegal profits from theft, robbery, drug trafficking and criminal activities.
The SSP has instructed the subordinate officers to break the financial back of habitual criminals by confiscating their illegally acquired property.
SSP said that illegal property acquired by habitual criminals is being identified and soon similar concrete action will be taken against more criminals. (ANI)
