Uttarakhand: 'Gaddi' of Adi Shankaracharya reaches in Joshimath from Badrinath

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami arrived at the Assembly to participate in the proceedings of the fourth day of the budget session being held in Uttarakhand's summer capital, Bhararisain (Gairsain).

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday visited the Bharadi Devi Temple at Gairsain during his morning walk and offered prayers at the temple.

According to an official statement from the Chief Minister's office, "sacred land of the Ganga River, Yamuna River, the Char Dham, Adi Kailash and several revered Shakti Peeths, Uttarakhand has long been a center of faith for Sanatan followers across the world. In this context, the state government is making efforts to promote Uttarakhand as a major hub for religious and spiritual tourism and pilgrimage, which is also expected to boost economic activities in the state."

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that just a day after International Women's Day and on the very first day of the budget session, the state government has reassured Matri Shakti (women) that it is serious about their welfare. Whether it is the increase in the size of the gender budget, which is important from the perspective of women's equality, or budgetary provisions for various schemes directly related to women, the government has ensured financial support for them.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday interacted with sanitation workers, police personnel, and other staff contributing to the smooth conduct of the Assembly session during his morning walk at Bhararisain in Chamoli.
