Udham Singh Nagar (Uttarakhand) [India], September 28 (ANI): Uttarakhand Director General of Police (DGP) Abhinav Kumar on Saturday honoured 12 officers for their excellent work and assured the citizens that the police department will work tirelessly to solve their problems.
During his Kumaon tour today, DGP Abhinav Kumar took the guard's salute at Police Line Rudrapur. Thereafter, he visited the Quarter Guard, Armory, Gym and MT branch in the police line and directed them to clean the area regularly.

DGP Kumar listened to the citizens and assured them that the police department will work seriously to solve their problems. "We are constantly working to make the campaigns run by the police successful with the cooperation of the public," he said.
The DGP said that it is our aim to make Uttarakhand drug-free. He also appealed to the general public to cooperate in the campaign being run by him against drug abuse and suggested that the increasing effect of drug abuse can be stopped by counselling the children involved in drug abuse.
He also honored 12 officers who did excellent work by giving them certificates and mementos.
Earlier on Friday, Abhinav Kumar, during his Kumaon tour, visited Police Line Almora and inspected the ongoing construction works (administrative building, women's barracks, type 4 houses).
During the inspection, DGP Kumar directed the officials of the implementing agency to maintain good quality of construction works and complete the work on time. He also directed SSP Almora Devendra Pincha to inspect the construction works from time to time.
DGP said that cyber fraud has emerged as a challenge at present, which is extremely necessary to combat. People are falling prey to fraud and losing their lifelong earnings in one go. Every possible effort should be made to arrest cyber fraudsters by taking prompt action when cases of cyber fraud come to light.
On September 20, DGP Kumar led a crucial meeting regarding the requirement and assessment of machines, equipment and plants under the requirements of the judicial process for the effective implementation of new criminal laws. (ANI)
