Uttarakhand DGP commends Dehradun Police for successful State Foundation Day parade, announces rewards

The DGP also extended hearty congratulations and best wishes to CDS Anil Chauhan on being awarded the Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman Award-2024.

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], November 10 (ANI): On the occasion of State Foundation Day, Uttarakhand Director General of Police (DGP) Abhinav Kumar on Saturday commended the Dehradun Police and said that the grand parade ceremony organized at the Dehradun Police Line had brought new pride to the state.
"It is a matter of great joy that this special event has been praised wholeheartedly by Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd), Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, and Chief of Defense Staff of India, Anil Chauhan. The DGP said that the praise by them is not only a recognition of the tireless hard work of every officer and jawan of our police department but also a respect for their exemplary dedication and loyalty. Thanks to everyone for this appreciation," Kumar said.

The DGP also extended hearty congratulations and best wishes to CDS Anil Chauhan on being awarded the Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman Award-2024.

Praising the Dehradun Police, the DGP said that the excellence and organizational skills displayed by the Police, especially SSP Ajay Singh and his entire team, were commendable.
Further, he added that all the participants who took part in this ceremony had enhanced the prestige of Uttarakhand Police with their discipline, patience, and hard work.
"The success of this event has proved that Uttarakhand Police is capable of meeting any challenge with utmost dignity and excellence," Kumar said.
The DGP also said, "In the coming year, we pledge that the parade organized on the 25th anniversary of Uttarakhand State Foundation Day will be one of the best parades, not only in the state but also in the nation."
On this occasion, the DGP also announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh and a three-day reward leave to all the participants involved in this event and the Dehradun Police to encourage their commendable contributions. (ANI)
