Uttarakhand CM orders assures help to the disaster affected areas

Amid the heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami spoke on the relief work being done by the government and administration to mitigate the damage after a cloudburst in Ghansali area of Tehri district on Thursday.

Tehri Gharwal (Uttarakhand) [India], August 22 (ANI): Amid the heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami spoke on the relief work being done by the government and administration to mitigate the damage after a cloudburst in Ghansali area of Tehri district on Thursday.
The Chief Minister has confirmed that the heavy rains and cloudbursts have caused damage to various buildings along with the death of cattle.
"There has been a big in disaster the Ghansali Assembly Constituency. The cloudburst has caused a lot of damage. Cattle have died and buildings have also been damaged.", said the Chief Minister.
The cloudburst has damaged many buildings, including government and private property. "Roads have been damaged, and other government properties and private properties have also suffered major damage", added the Chief Minister.
The CM had also ordered the District Magistrate and Commissioner to provide help at the earliest to all the people affected by the disaster. "The District Magistrate and Commissioner have been told to immediately provide help to the people and all possible help should be given to the people affected by the disaster.", confirmed Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Heavy rains have been lashing out across different parts of the state for the past weeks. Earlier on August 1, NDRF, SDRF, Police and local administration teams had been put on alert and engaged in rescue work in the Tehri and Rudraprayag districts due to heavy rains.
The Chief Minister had personally visited the rain-affected areas three weeks ago.
Another cloudburst in the Ghansali area of Tehri Gharwal district claimed the lives of two people and left one injured on August 1. The SDRF forces had received information about three missing people at Jakhanyali in the Ghansali area. The officials and also assured to provide compensation to the deceased and the injured in the entire matter as per the government order. (ANI)
