Uttarakhand CM interacts with traders under "GST Savings Festival" in Haridwar

CM Dhami stated that the revision of GST rates will bring about a transformative change in the economies of both the state and the country.

Haridwar (Uttarakhand) [India], September 27 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday participated in an awareness programme organised at Har Ki Pauri Market in Haridwar as part of the "GST Savings Festival" series.
According to the CMO, interacting with traders and the public, the CM Dhami said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, historic steps are being taken to ensure that the benefits of economic reforms and development reach every section of society.
CM Dhami stated that the revision of GST rates will bring about a transformative change in the economies of both the state and the country.
During the event held in the Har Ki Pauri area, enthusiastic traders warmly welcomed the Chief Minister and expressed their gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dhami for the reduction in GST rates. Many shops displayed banners reading "Reduced GST, Added Benefits Thank You Modi Government" to express their appreciation.
The Chief Minister personally visited several establishments, pasted awareness stickers, and presented flowers to traders, urging them to help spread awareness about GST and ensure that customers fully benefit from the reduced tax rates.
He also appealed to the public to promote indigenous products, contributing to a stronger and self-reliant national and state economy. He emphasised that adopting Swadeshi products will boost local industries, support indigenous goods and workers, reduce dependency on imports, and generate new employment opportunities.
Earlier on Friday, CM Dhami participated in an awareness program organised in Patel Nagar, Dehradun, as part of the "GST Bachat Utsav."
During the event, the Chief Minister interacted with traders and local residents to gather feedback on the benefits of the reduced GST rates. He stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a new era of economic reforms has commenced in the country, and the reduction in GST rates represents a historic step toward enhancing the quality of life for all sections of society.
