Uttarakhand CM Dhami highlights key outcomes of monsoon assembly session

The Chief Minister outlined plans for the development of Bharadisain as a summer capital, including organizing events and improving infrastructure.

Chamoli (Uttarakhand) [India], August 24 (ANI): Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted the productive discussions that took place during the Monsoon session of the Assembly in Gairsain, which he believed were in the best interest of the state, the CMO release said.
The Chief Minister outlined plans for the development of Bharadisain as a summer capital, including organizing events and improving infrastructure.
Chief Minister Dhami held a press conference following the conclusion of the three-day monsoon session of the Uttarakhand Assembly in Gairsain.
He also said that if the opposition colleagues had not been in a hurry, the House would have lasted longer.
The Chief Minister said that the supplementary budget along with several bills was discussed in the House and they were approved.
The supplementary budget has been brought in to supplement the general budget. Special attention is being paid to increasing revenue and reducing expenses along with financial discipline in the state, the official release said.
According to the CMO release, special attention is being paid to the areas of revenue receipt. The process of taking loans has also been reduced. The performance of the state in the direction of development has also been better. The state being in the first place in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals issued by NITI Aayog is proof of this.
The Chief Minister said that our effort is to pay special attention to the effective implementation of centrally funded schemes. Attention is also being paid to ensure that the people of the state get the benefit of the schemes whose state share is reduced.
He said that by operating the guest houses of the state in a better manner, they are being made helpful in connecting them with sources of income. We are making efforts so that the future generation of the state gets the benefit of better financial conditions.
The Chief Minister said that many effective decisions have been taken in the wider interest of the youth, sportspersons and students in the state. Schemes have been made to strengthen the economy of women's self-help groups by providing them with interest-free loans and connecting them with self-employment.
Effective arrangements have been made for marketing the products of the groups. Schemes of agriculture, horticulture, fisheries and dairy development are being made employment-oriented. Schemes related to public interest are being implemented on the ground, it added.
The Chief Minister said that in future, an incident like Banbhulpura should not happen in any area of the state, mutual brotherhood and peace should be maintained and to prevent damage to government and private property due to riots, vandalism, the Public and Private Property Damage Recovery Bill has been approved.
Dhami expressed concern over recent violent incidents in Bangladesh and emphasized the need for peaceful coexistence.
The CMO release said that the loss of property will be compensated by the rioters. He said, "Every person of Devbhoomi is concerned about the violent incidents happening against Hindus in Bangladesh, and this injustice against them should be stopped. Effective prevention of violent incidents is the demand of all of us."
He also acknowledged the impact of recent heavy rainfall in the state and assured that efforts are being made to support affected areas.
CM Dhami said that we are sensitive towards the incidents of disaster caused by excessive rain in the state. He is inspecting the various disaster-affected areas of the state taking stock of the situation and is engaged in sharing the pain and suffering of the affected. Efforts are being made to help the victims in every possible way. There will be no shortage of funds for this.
Chief Minister said that our goal is to develop Bharadisain as the summer capital, for this a high-level meeting will also be organized soon. He also talked about making efforts to organize various types of activities throughout the year in Bharadisain, along with this the Chief Minister talked about conducting assembly sessions here for a long time, building a good hospital, and ensuring housing arrangements for journalists and police personnel.
