Vineet Kumar Singh, ADM Gorakhpur, informed that 85 boats have been provided to the affected villages to ensure safe transportation for the residents.
"The Rapti River is currently flowing 90 cm above the danger level. A total of 29 villages are affected, and 85 boats have been provided by the administration for safe travel. We will compensate farmers who have suffered crop losses, and we are also supplying ration and necessary items to the villagers," said ADM Vineet Kumar Singh.
In light of the heavy rains in the state, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials in the concerned districts to conduct relief operations promptly.
CM Adityanath instructed officials to visit the affected areas, ensure proper relief work, and provide necessary assistance to those impacted, according to a statement. He also addressed the families affected by the disaster, instructing officials to provide the permissible relief amounts to those who have lost livestock and homes.
