Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 24 (ANI): Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar attended the inaugural event of 'Uttar Pradesh Divas' in Lucknow on Friday, marking the state's Foundation Day. The occasion was also graced by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel.
In his address, Vice President Dhankhar praised the remarkable transformation of Uttar Pradesh, stating, Miraculously, you have recognized Uttar Pradesh as a state ruled with good governance. This discussion of progress is in the country, abroad, and definitely in the state..."
He further lauded the state's leadership under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, underlining its historical and cultural significance.

Dhankhar said, highlighting the spiritual and cultural heritage of Uttar Pradesh, mentioning revered figures like "Surdas, Tulsidas, Kabir, Mirabai, and Raskhaan".
The Vice President also spoke about Uttar Pradesh's crucial role in shaping the nation's legal and social framework.
"The land of the pious souls like Surdas, Tulsidas, Kabir, Mirabai and Raskaan has become the identity of a healthy and influential law system in this country," he said.
Dhankhar highlighted the state's continued progress, linking it to the historical significance of Uttar Pradesh as the place of Lord Buddha's first message. "The state in which Lord Buddha gave his first message, from there today, the story of the progress of the Chief Minister Yogi is being broadcast," he remarked.
The Vice President praised Yogi Adityanath's leadership, noting his dedication to public service over the years. "From 1998, at the age of 26, after winning 5 elections in the Lok Sabha, and from March 2017, after assuming the post of Chief Minister, a 26-year-old boy, a 26-year-old man, has dedicated 26 years of his life to public service," Dhankhar said.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also attended the event of the 'Uttar Pradesh Divas' along with Governor Anandiben Patel.
During his address, CM Yogi Adityanath highlighted the significance of the year 2024 for both the state and the nation. "This year is important for all of us. The first Maha Kumbh of this century started in Prayagraj on January 13 - Paush Purnima. In the last 10 days, over 10 crore devotees from the country and around the world have taken a holy dip in Triveni Sangam and have spread a message - 'Maha Kumbh Triveni ka ek hi sandesh; ekta se Akhand rahega ye desh'," he said, underscoring the importance of unity and spirituality.
He also spoke about the significance of the Constitution of India, which will mark its 75th anniversary of implementation in the next two days. "And this year is very important because the constitution that was handed over to the Constituent Assembly on 26th November 1949, 75 years of implementation of this constitution will be completed in the next two days," CM Yogi noted.
