The Uttar Pradesh government has said that devotees from Uttar Pradesh intending to go on the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand should proceed on pilgrimage only after registration

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 24 (ANI): The Uttar Pradesh government has said that devotees from Uttar Pradesh intending to go on the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand should proceed on pilgrimage only after registration.
A state government release said that keeping in mind the safety and convenience of the devotees, the Uttarakhand government has implemented a mandatory registration system for Char Dham Yatra-2024. Devotees may face inconvenience if they go for Char Dham Yatra without registration.
It said pilgrims, who have not completed the mandatory registration process for Char Dham Yatra-2024, should not visit Char Dham.
The release said passengers who are not registered will be stopped at the designated checkpoints and will not be able to go beyond that.
All the tour operators and travel agents of the state have been asked to ensure that the necessary registration is done by people before starting the journey.
"All the interested devotees of Uttar Pradesh should be aware of the travel guidelines so that they can complete Char Dham Yatra smoothly without any hindrance," the release said. (ANI)
